The second life of a Trocadéro classic when the pied-à-terre becomes a main residence Nestled in an emblematic luxury building from the 60s, just a few steps from the Trocadéro, this 90 m² corner apartment bided its time. After half a century of sleep, it was the scene of a complete rehabilitation, orchestrated for a couple from the South of France wishing to establish an elegant Parisian pied-à-terre.
A technical and aesthetic challenge The project, initially designed as a resort, came up against the frozen state of what already exists. The urgency of a total renovation arose, faced with faulty underfloor heating networks, the necessary removal of asbestos conduits, and the complete replacement of all the joinery. Far from being a simple refresh, a complete cleaning was undertaken: plumbing, electricity, heating, partitions, floors and windows, absolutely everything was refurbished.

The quest for space and light The major transformation lies in spatial reorganization. The objective was clear: to streamline circulation and offer a reception room worthy of the name, capable of accommodating a grand piano. The new distribution made it possible to integrate and open the kitchen, and above all, to unify the volumes to create a magnificent living room of 46 m². Benefiting from a privileged corner location and the width of the avenue, the new space is bathed in generous natural light, gently tempered by beautiful curtains. Harmony is ensured by the choice of an elegant Crema Marfil stone slab floor, which runs seamlessly throughout the entire apartment.
Functionality and decorative elements If the living room has established itself as the bright heart of the project, the rest of the apartment has not been neglected. The plan now includes a complete master suite, a guest bedroom with its adjoining bathroom, a beautiful welcoming entrance, and an optimized laundry-toilet area, all complemented by numerous integrated and discreet storage spaces.
The excellence of the finish is underlined by tailor-made decorative elements, notably the furniture in the living room and the headboard in the master bedroom, the decoration of which was entrusted to the expertise of Atelier Bonnefille.
The success of the project is measured beyond technical prowess and aesthetic refinement. The couple of owners, initially looking for a simple Parisian base, were so won over by the result of this successful renovation that the pied-à-terre was immediately elevated to the rank of main residence. A striking proof that architecture, when designed for comfort and harmony, can redefine a way of life.
